Finalist, Women Street Photograhers

I was seleted a Finalist in the third Women Street Photography Exhibit. The show includes the work of 85 women street photographers and is curated by Gulnara Samoilova. I took this photo in Madrid during one of our family outings. We were just beginning to learn about Covid by the news. What I like about this picture is how it depicts the family nucleus as tightly contained. My two children, unaware of what’s coming, are merged in a fun spider-shape form. The adult, however, seems frozen, something many of us are feeling during this time of crisis. He passively awaits what’s to come.
